Le Retouche is a professional cream designed for repairing smooth natural leather, ideal when you want to fix scratches, discolorations, or superficial imperfections. The product is suitable for bags, shoes, belts, and other leather accessories. Perfect for repairing sneakers and other types of sports or white leather footwear.
You can use this product for:
- covering fine and medium scratches
- correcting discolored areas
- local touch-ups or application on larger surfaces
- refreshing the leather’s appearance
The pigment has high coverage power and allows you to achieve a uniform surface.
How to repair scratches or worn areas on natural leather with the Repair Cream:
- Thoroughly clean the leather with a soft brush
- Wipe with a damp cloth (well wrung, not wet) using water mixed with a mild detergent, and let it dry completely;
- Degrease the leather with Leather Degreaser;
- If the leather is torn, fix the tear by gluing or sewing, as the cream covers any marks but does not fix the tear;
- Apply a small amount of product to cover the scratch or tear and remove excess cream. You can use a cloth, a spatula, or a leatherworking bone tool;
- Let it dry naturally for at least 10 minutes, do not force dry or expose to heat sources;
- After it has completely dried, apply another layer if necessary and let it dry naturally;
- Polish with a clean cloth or brush to achieve the final result;
- Once the repair is complete and the material is dry, optionally, you can paint with natural leather dye in at least 2 layers, following the dyeing instructions, and then apply a fixative for dye. Follow the leather dyeing instructions available on the website for both dye and fixative.
For optimal results, we recommend applying in thin layers. The finish is slightly glossy after polishing.
Warnings:
- Do not use on nubuck or suede leather
- We recommend testing on a hidden area before use
- Avoid excessive application
- Do not expose the product to water until fully dry
