Begginer Tools
Since we have been asked many times what tools you need to start working with leather, we will provide our recommendations. Every product or project has different tools requirements. We will feature here a general selection, which we hope will be helpful, whether you want to craft bracelets, belts, wallets or bags.
For most projects there are some universal actions, in this order:
- Mark on the leather the shapes you need to cut;
- Cut the leather;
- Position the parts and glue;
- After gluing, the leather should be pressed, hammered or shaped with the leather folding tool;
- Dye the leather, if necessary;
- Sew the project;
- Paint the edges with edge paint.
